Travel Diary: Rosaluna in the Desert
Took Rosaluna Mezcal to Far West Texas to shoot it in the sunburnt elemental desert where wide skies hug the dry earth .
This was Modelo’s first official trip out of Austin. He championed the 7-hour drive and was rewarded with the luxury of having a yard to play in for the weekend.
Marfa made the perfect backdrop: minimal, cinematic, and just a little offbeat.
A coffee shop in town displayed a collection of Jane Didion writings. I’ve never heard of her before. Some very interesting words about quiet in-between moments and growing out of things and why decay isn’t the worst thing in the world.
We were ultimately there to shoot mezcal and so we did.
